2020 FLOOD RELIEF
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
Due to recent severe flooding in Midland County, our neighbors face new challenges as they combat the effects of the flood. United Way of Midland County is working diligently with the community to identify needs and volunteer opportunities.
United Way serves as a communicator and coordinator of connecting volunteers. We are in communications with local organizations, schools and agencies in order to best determine needs and next steps.
We are also a part of the Emergency Core Recovery Group, which includes: Midland County Emergency Management, Midland County Health and Human Services, Midland Area Community Foundation, Midland County United Way, Midland County Salvation Army and American Red Cross – Central Bay. The Core Recovery Group oversees the following components of recovery through participation on various recovery committees: Volunteer Management, Donation Management, Construction Management, Case Management and Spiritual & Emotional Care. This group created a Midland County Disaster Recovery Plan last summer, so we are prepared and ready to respond accordingly as needs are identified.
