Sharing Tree Impact Store Video
United Way has implemented the Impact Store to help streamline the workflow of the Sharing Tree program as well to help keep the program up to date with new technology and trends. With the increased popularity of online shopping foot traffic in retail stores has diminished over the years. The program has continued to be great success but with the addition of the Impact Store we create the opportunity to reach more of the Midland County community through electronic communications.
United Way will be creating electronic materials that will be easy to share through email and social media to tell people about the Sharing Tree Impact Store. An added bonus is that links can be planted in those files allowing people the ease of access by simply clicking on a link to go straight to the Impact Store where they can purchase items for the Sharing Tree Program.
The Impact Store will have “tags” on the trees around the Midland community. These “tags” are informational only. They will inform people about the Impact Store and instruct them where to go and how to use it. These “tags” will be reminders to people as they will be able to take them home and put them on their fridge on stick on a bulletin board.
The Impact Store will have updated goals for each category that will show the percentage of requests filled. We believe that this will motivate our community to participate more in the program as we have seen positive impacts by the goals we set for the annual United Way campaign each year.
No there are no fees associated with purchases in the Impact Store.
No email will be sent out for confirmation, however, the final page after you make your purchase will be a record for your purchase. There will be a print button that will enable you to print out your purchase information for your own personal records.
The number in the shopping cart for the Impact Store shows how many different items you have selected. The number next to the cart is the total for all the items you have selected. Below that is a summary of the total dollar amount you are purchasing under each item.
